It's not very often that I find a free weekend to hang out with some friends and when I say that it is not very often, I literally mean every lea
p year. It's not like I am being held hostage, however I am a responsible wife, mother and business owner so I decline going out (often) as to take care of those areas first. However, this weekend the opportunity definitely presented itself and I took full advantage to hang out with my girls (Me- husband- kids= FREEDOM) and we had fun. We decided to go to the Short North District on a Saturday night, and the area was definitely poppin' there were people everywhere, enjoying the beautiful crisp air (sort of refreshing considering the summer we just had)
If you are aware of the Short North District then you know exactly what I am talking about, it's nice- right?! If you're not aware of this area the Short North District is located in Columbus, Ohio and the eatery was selected by my gurlfriend who can literally tell you every place to eat, where to get a good drink and or listen to great music (she's starting a blog, when she does I'll tag her). So trusting her judgement we ventured off to The Guild House. The Guild House is an artisan eatery featuring creative American cuisine available for breakfast, lunch and dinner #Classy
If you are into a chill spot that looks very upscale but the pricing is just right, this is definitely where you want to be. I was very impressed with the decor of this restaurant as well as the live DJ- very New York esque. The food was equally delicious, my friend Jessica and I ate our meals so quickly that we forgot to take pictures#sorrynotsorry
What I ordered:
1. Cherry Ginger old city ginger beer, fresh lemon juice, house-made grenadine, spice cherry bitters $4.50
2. Brussel Sprouts carmelized onions, pecans, white cheddar, sweet mustard dressing $8
Orders come with bread and this butter that was unnameable (I can't remember, LOL) but the taste was very memorable!!! We got lucky with parking but don't risk it, go a little earlier than your dinner plans to find parking and enjoy the walk up to the restaurant, its worth it!
