How To Achieve A Halo Braid

I am sure you have seen this hairstyle everywhere so I am sure that it is not surprising that I was super excited to try this hairstyle too! As you know, I like to change it up- I'll be the first to admit that I have hair commitment issues. Any who, I went to my neighborhood beauty supply store, which happens to be black owned #winning and I purchased the necessary items to achieve this look. It took me about 30 minutes from start to finish and I will wear this look for probably 7-10 days, if you are interested in learning more, you know what to do...

What I purchased:

1. Bobby pins

2. Hick's Edge Control

3. 86" Kenkalon Braiding Hair

4. Comb

5. Brush

6. Rubber Bands

Next, I went to YouTube and searched through a series of videos until I found the Halo Braid that I desired, I came across Absolutely Erica and hit subscribe! I watched a series of her other videos and learned that she is super chill, funny, informative, talkative and gorgeous - check out her "Halo Braid" video!

After watching this video (on repeat) I felt confident enough to give it a try and I am beyond pleased with the results. This hairstyle requires very little upkeep in the morniAvenidangs and required no heat or stress on my edges. I was considering going to the salon (LOL, my sister's house- she's a stylist) but I thought it was worth the try. This hairstyle should definitely last you a week or so and if it becomes puffy I would suggest you washing and redoing this style because it is very low maintenance especially for mom's like me on the go!

My turn...Here's my Halo Braid!

Ok Subbies, what do you think- how did I do? Are you going to try to achieve this look too? (I hope so!)
