Spring Break my ass....Okay so here me out first. You all know by now that I am completely transparent on my blog site because I honestly believe that people respect that I am going to keep it real but more importantly we can relate without feeling like the only abnormal people that God breathed life into. So, back to my point...I am an educator who respects all holidays, holiday pay etc. The one that always gets me is Spring Break. Why??? Because it's like seeing the finish line in a race and stopping to tie your shoe, HELLLLLLLL NNOOOOOOO- finish em', finish me, finish it!!! On top of the break that comes 30 days before school is out, it's not really a break for me because I have 2 angels that take every holiday/break with me #fixitJesus. That means I still have to wake up somewhat early and hop to it- I guess they deserve a break seeing as all they have to do is go to school, I'll sacrifice staying in the bed all day and binge watching HULU & Netflix for their measly, "Thanks Mom!" right before they get on my nerves for the rest of the day....#fixitJesus. So if you're like me and just want to make everybody happy- here's where you can catch us this week.
1. COSI. Family fun science center, it's educational and fun-hours of fun = relaxed mommy. P.S. bring snacks, don't buy that expensive food!!!
2. Westerville Indoor Water Park. It's not hot enough outside yet to get wet in Ohio so this will suffice. Inexpensive all day pass, check it out!
3. Roller Skating. Yes... roll, play and fall your heart out kids = nap time!
4. Columbus Zoo. Teachers check out your city & state perks. I receive #major discounts and percentages off of membership fees.
5. Outside. It's free & they can play all day. I open the window so that I can hear them and make sure emergency snacks are on the table.
I love my babies and I love to see them happy! I realize that there will come a day when they will pay it all forward to me. I look forward to showing up at their job unannounced because I am sick, ruining their vacations with my own desires, asking for money 1 hour after they get paid...the future looks bright for me!! But all jokes aside, parents, enjoy this Spring Break and make memories (it'll be over before you know it)! As always thanks for starting your work week with me!
