This is the Summer of trying new things for me, and I am super excited to do just that! I don't know if you live in the Ohio area, or are planning on coming to Ohio but let me tell you this, O-H-I-O is coming for all major cities. We are no longer a "Farm Town" we are developing and I am starting to like this place, LOL! On my recent adventures of my hometown I visited the new IKEA store, OMG!!!!!
Let me explain my excitement: I have always heard about IKEA, the closest one is in Cincinnati. I have several friends who traveled that far just to shop. So you can imagine my excitement when Columbus announced that there was an IKEA store opening right here in our neck-of-the-woods. For some background knowledge, IKEA was founded in 1943 as a mostly mail-order sales business. It began to sell furniture five years later and the first furniture store was opened in 1958. Ladies and gentleman when I walked into that store, my relationship with TARGET came to a swift end....that's how quickly I fell for my new boo, check out our first encounter.
I hope you enjoyed my premiere on-screen act, lol!!! If that didn't convince you to become an IKEA member like I did, listen to this:
Top 4 Reasons Why You Should Shop At IKEA
1. Lamps. I am a "Lamp Girl" I think that they are that little touch that can make a house look like a mansion on a Wendy's dollar menu budget.
2. Affordable. My relationship with TARGET came to an abrupt end when I noticed the prices....the buck stops there! Reliable furniture at decent prices. #ByeFelicia
3. Design. The fact that they do the work for you and showcase what a room could look like in your house annnndddd price everything down to the wall and the wall color, for a busy mama like me to know that I can throw everything in the bag and still answer a million "Mommy Questions" without having a tantrum is equivalent to the parting of the red sea #ThankyouJesus
4. The Restaurant. No thanks to my friends, they DID NOT tel me about the restaurant so of course I was over dramatic. However, because there is so much to see and do, why not grab a snack and complete the mission properly so that when you get home a nap is the next best thing. Seriously, the Swedish food was delicious and it's like taking a trip to a far away land just to eat Swedish meatballs and drink fancy Swedish juices....minus the plane ticket, etc. #winning
As always thanks for starting and ending you workweek with me, Shop IKEA and share your experience with me- also check out IKEA hacks on pinterest, they have some really dope ideas!!!!
P.S. My apologies for that delicious pimple in the middle of my forehead!
