Mastering Your Monday

Humility is the key to mastering your Monday. I mean think about it, everything you have right now; marriage, home, job, life, income - whatever it is could definitely slip through your hands and then what!?....we would be wishing for the life we complained about yesterday. With that being said, let's master our Mondays and everyday because being humble and grateful is the most powerful state to be in and it is the time when you are aligned with your most powerful self.

.

Mondays aren't the easiest day of the week to face. Mondays feel like getting up and dressed on time, smelling good and looking good only to turn the keys in your car and hearing NOTHING! But the great thing about that is 1. That was just an analogy (I hope that never happens to you) 2. You can change anything in your life with your thoughts and actions 3. You should definitely have AAA (I use my mom and dad's ). Monday in itself means the day of the week before Tuesday and following Sunday...okay seriously, Monday is the start of the week, it gives us a prelude to how we will face the following days until you get a break; most people catch a break on Saturday and Sunday but I realize that it's not everyone's situation. In the past I started each Monday with this 4 lettered word: "Shit". I would moan it and groan it but recently I have seen Monday through a different set of eyes, because Monday is the day I jump back into my seat and I ride shotgun with my dreams and goals for the week until the wheels fall off. When I tell I push myself to exhaustion starting on Monday and ending on Friday- I do! I work a little on Saturday and a bit on Sunday...but Monday literally looks me in the face and says, "You're Better Than Average!"

Mastering your Monday isn't hard at all:

1. Affirm that it is going to be a great day (I say this to my kids as they are half-sleep in the car)

2. Set your goals for the day and if you're really feeling good, set some goals for the rest of week.

3. Start your playlist while you're getting dressed (Eric Thomas makes me feel like I can do it all (inserts evil laugh) and that I have Oprah money $$$$ #winning)

4. Stay on course. If I write down a goal, believe you me, I am doing whatever it takes to accomplish that goal for that day.

Remember: Mondays can suck but only because YOU say and think they do! Let's change the game and our mind frame, I'll see you at the top!

XOXO,

Normal Black Chic
